I always do a phone or email consultation where I ask my clients several questions.  One of the questions is about hobbies/interests.  If possible I like to try and customize the session, and not just throw random props into the session.  Don’t get me wrong- I LOVE coming up with ideas/concepts, but when possible- I like the setup to have some meaning.

Case in point- the image below.  Mom went to Cal Berkeley and Dad went to Stanford… for those that don’t know- there’s a kind of a rivalry between them- LOL.  Which side will baby Tristan choose?!?

But I also love the simplicity of shots like these…. simple and classic.

Year of the dragon.  This little setup was another request from mom and dad- specifically a water dragon.

Just by chance I brought this Yoda hat.  It was like I had ESP.  Dad was a fan.

Mom and Dad are world travelers (baby Tristan traveled to Paris, Dominican Republic and Chicago before he was even born!).

And it never hurts to end it with a smile…. 😉
