To Paci or Not to Paci…. that is NOT actually my question. Using one or not using one with your newborn is totally your call. Whether you feel it’s best to not use one before breastfeeding is well established, or you feel it doesn’t matter…. I’m not going to argue with you. That being said… I do like to have a back up pacifier for the “just in case moments during our session.” I really try to avoid using one, relying on my soothing techniques first. But sometimes a paci just helps. I’m not going pop one in your baby’s mouth while you look the other way. I use one sparingly if at all. Just want to say I appreciate the back up 😉
