Seeing red is not always a bad thing. Fun fact: my first photography session was a maternity session almost 9 years ago. It all these years I have never gotten to photograph an expecting mama with red hair. Which is even more sad since I absolutely LOVE red hair. I might be a little obsessed, actually. I just think its so unique and beautiful. Anyhoo…. let’s get to talkin’ about this amazing outdoor maternity session. For a August evening in Sacramento area, it was a lovely night. Warm, with a slight breeze and the cool water of the creek beneath our feet. Shaila and her husband Cameron are expecting their first and it’s a boy! All dresses were borrowed from my collection (available for all my maternity clients).
I love how this session incorporated a gorgeous creek, big oak trees and one of my favorite things… dead grass. I mean green grass is cool for your yard, but trust me, you want golden, dead grass for your photography session 😉
